Brentwood Academy has moved to Privit - a new tool used to collect student health and medical information. Updated records are required for each student for each school year to allow students to participate in BA’s fitness classes and sports programs.
Complete the health tracker and upload any required material prior to the first day of summer practice or July 24, 2025 if your student does not have summer training. TSSAA requires all pre-participation physicals to be dated/signed after April 15th, 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year. Health providers will have this form.
Access Privit at the link below. (Current families, you may also access Privit through your Veracross portal)

This summer, middle school English teachers Mrs. Holmes, Mrs. Gelfand, and Mrs. Moore will offer a four-day summer reading workshop for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. During this time, students will read the book below and discuss it intensively.
As students read the book, they will work on specific reading skills to improve their comprehension. We will teach students how to: summarize, use context clues, identify main ideas, draw conclusions, analyze characters, and more. As we work on these skills, we will develop students as critical thinkers, speakers, and writers.
During the first semester, students will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of summer reading through writing and other assessments. The work we do this summer will be a valuable step toward a great start to the school year. Students who join the workshop will feel more prepared and confident as they build skills and complete one summer reading book in just four days!
The cost of the program is $120 and is non-refundable. Books and materials are included. Please be mindful of the book selection for each grade and ensure you sign up your student for the correct reading enrichment session.

Without practice, students may lose new mathematical knowledge or see a decline in basic skills over the summer months. With consistent practice, students do not require as much review and can better connect new concepts with previously learned material. Therefore, summer math work is required for all middle school students.
Below are 2025-2026 requirements for summer math work based on your student's grade level. Summer math activities will become populated in the links once the 2024-2025 school year has officially ended.
For any questions concerning summer math work, please contact Bonnie Hall, Mathematics Department Chair.
GRADE 6 |
---|
For students entering grade 6, to best prepare for math at Brentwood Academy, all incoming 6th-grade students are encouraged to work through the summer skills sharpener workbook. This workbook provides students with an opportunity to reinforce math concepts learned through the previous school year. We recommend students work three to four times a week in their workbooks throughout the summer. The workbook is $19; you can order it at the link below. |
GRADES 7-8 |
For students entering grades 7-8, go to the Delta Math link provided for the specific class that you are entering in the fall. There you will register for the class and receive assignments for the summer. Students must complete each assignment to a score of 100% before the first day of school. Students should watch the help videos provided on Delta Math if they need help completing the problems. For Algebra I and Honors Algebra I, students should expect a test during the first week of school assessing the skills that were covered on the assignment. |
GRADES 9-12 |
For students entering grades 9-12, there is no required summer work for all students. However, if a student has requested an honors math class and was either not recommended for honors or took standard math the previous year, a math packet is required to be completed. If your student does not receive this packet in class, they will be available and must be picked up in the upper school office after Final Assembly on May 22. Packets must be completed and turned in by June 30. |
Below, you will find all school supply lists for each grade. Middle school students may purchase school supplies through 1st Day who will deliver the supplies to your child's locker during the summer.
